Preliminary zoogeographical analysis of the snout moths fauna of Kyrgyzstan (Lepidoptera: Pyraloidea)

SUMMARY. For the first time a zoogeographical analysis of snout moths (Pyraloidea) of Kyrgyzstan was carried out. The areas of 264 species of Pyraloidea have been characterized. The complex of wide ranges, 73,7% of the entire fauna, has the greatest weight. The Central Asian areas are 9,8% of the fauna, 16,5% - the areas of the Middle Asian complex. Low-mountain and mid-mountain species are 92,4% of the fauna as a whole, namely: low-mountain species – 27,3%, low-mountain-mid-mountain species – 34,1%, 31,0% - mid-mountain species. 6,8% of the Pyraloidea fauna of Kyrgyzstan lives are high-mountain and ultrahigh-mountain species. Low-mountain-high-mountain species are 0,8% of the whole fauna. The following correlations were found between the latitudinal and altitudinal components of the range: the low-mountain, mid-mountain and low-mountain-mid-mountain ranges correlate with the Western Palearctic and, in general, with a complex of wide ranges. High-mountain and ultrahigh-mountain areas correlate with the Middle Asian complex. The zoogeographic core of the fauna consists of low-mountain-mid-mountain species with wide latitudinal ranges, and the average representative of Pyraloidea in Kyrgyzstan can be zoogeographically characterized as a low-mountain, mid-mountain, or low-mountain-mid-mountain species with a wide continuous distribution. The largest number of species of autochthonous genesis was found in the low and middle mountains in the Tien Shan subregion, in the high mountains – in the Pamir-Alai subregion.
