First record of Scoparia juldusellus (Caradja, 1916) (Lepidoptera, Crambidae) from Tajikistan, with description of a new subspecies and with an identification Key to the species of the group “white Scoparia”.

SUMMARY. Scoparia juldusellus (Caradja, 1916), a member of the group “white Scoparia”, is firstly reported from Tajikistan. Basing on the differences between Tian-Shanian and Pamirian specimens, the new subspecies S. juldusellus bahtibegim, ssp. n. is described. Type locality of the new subspecies is Tajikistan, W. Pamir, Bartang River valley near Darzhomch, 2220 m a.s.l., N38°07’07”; E71°56’18”. S. juldusellus bahtibegim, ssp. n. differs from the nominotypical subspecies by much lighter ground color of the wings and by the aedeagus cornutus structure (in the new subspecies its short spike is longer than half of the long spike, instead of same in the subspecies S. juldusellus juldusellus is shorter than half of the long spike). Female genitalia structures of S. juldusellus are firstly described and depicted. An identification key to the species of “white Scoparia” group is provided.

Damselflies and dragonflies (Odonata) of the Republic of Mordovia

SUMMARY. Based on many years of research and literature data, an annotated list of Odonata of the Republic of Mordovia is presented, numbering 55 species, of which 5 (Sympecma paedisca (Brauer, 1877), Coenagrion johanssoni (Wal-lengren, 1894), Aeshna mixta Latreille, 1805, Sympetrum striolatum (Charpentier, 1840) and Sympetrum de-pressiusculum (Se-lys, 1841)) are given for the first time for the territory under consideration. The finding of two more species (Coenagrion armatum (Charpentier, 1840) and Leucorrhinia caudalis (Charpentier, 1840)) listed in the literature for uncharacteristic localities requires confirmation. Two species (Chalcolestes viridis (Van der Linden, 1825) and Coenagrion mercuriale (Charpentier, 1840)) were excluded from the list of regional fauna due to obvi-ously incorrect definitions. 40 species of dragonflies have been recorded on the territory of the Mordovian State Na-ture Reserve named after P.G. Smidovich, the presence of another one (Coenagrion lunulatum (Charpentier, 1840)) requires confirmation. There are 39 species of dragonflies in Smolny National Park. Detailed information about the distribution and ecology of the species is provided.

Data on the presence and distribution of these species are limited, previously been rejected or considered doubtful, or have not been mentioned in the Catalogue of Heteroptera of the European Russia and the Urals [Vinokurov et al., 2024] for the latter territory. Nysius graminicola (Kolenati, 1845) (Lygaeidae) is found for the first time in the Russian territory of the Urals, and Pygolampis bidentata (Goeze, 1778) (Reduviidae) is first listed for Orenburg Province. The southernmost location of Plagiognathus bipunctatus Reuter, 1883 (Miridae) in the Russian territory of the Urals and the most south-eastern in Russia is found in Sol-Iletsk District. The presence of Salda littoralis (Linnaeus, 1758), S. morio Zetterstedt, 1838, S. muelleri (Saldidae), Pionosomus opacellus Horváth, 1895 (Rhyparochromidae), Promecocoris stschurovskii (Oshanin, 1870), Rhaphigaster nebulosa (Poda, 1761) and Sciocoris homalonotus Fieber, 1851 (Pentatomidae) is confirmed, the last 2 species are restored to the Heteroptera list of the Orenburg Province. Composition of the Pentatomidae fauna of this region is supplemented by 2 species and now includes 68 species. The urban fauna of Orenburg City is supplied with 5 species: Elasmostethus interstinctus (Linnaeus, 1758) (Acanthosomatidae), Aelia furcula Fieber, 1868, Arma custos (Fabricius, 1794), Promecocoris stschurovskii and Sciocoris homalonotus (Pentatomidae). The Catalogue of beetles (Coleoptera) of the Urals and adjacent territories (to the 200th anniversary of sci-entific research in the Urals Region). II. Ground beetles (Carabidae), 6th communication

SUMMARY. The sixth communication of part II of the Catalogue of beetles (Coleoptera) of the Urals contains a continuation of the annotated list of ground beetles (Carabidae) of the Urals Region with the adjacent territories of the Middle Trans-Volga Region, the Vyatka-Kama Interfluve, Western Siberia and Western Kazakhstan. Reference data on the regional composition of Harpalinae (the 3rd part) are provided as follows: by 1 species from genera Pedius Motschulsky, 1850 and Stomis Clairville, 1806, 11 species of Poecilus Bonelli, 1810, 45 species of Pterostichus Bonelli, 1810, 2 species of Stereocerus Kirby, 1837 (tribe Pterostichini – 60 species from 5 genera), as well as 4 species of Calathus Bonelli, 1810, by 1 species of Dolichus Bonelli, 1810, Laemostenus Bonelli, 1810, Sphodrus Clairville, 1806 and Taphoxenus Motschulsky, 1850, by 2 species of Pseudotaphoxenus Schaufuss, 1865 and Synuchus Gyllenhal, 1810 (tribe Sphodrini – 12 species from 7 genera). Thus, 72 species from 12 genera of ground beetles within 2 indicated tribes are found at the Urals. For both the Polar and Subpolar Urals (in the Komi Repub-lic) 44 species from 4 genera are numbered. At the Northern Urals (in the Komi Republic, in the north-east of Perm Area and north-west of Sverdlovsk Province totally) 30 species of ground beetles from 4 genera are recorded. For the Middle Urals, 41 species from 7 genera are listed (including 35 species in Perm Area and 39 species in Sverd-lovsk Province). From the Southern Urals, 49 species of ground beetles from 11 genera are known, of these 37 species are found in Bashkortostan, 34 species in Chelyabinsk Province, and 36 species in Orenburg Province.

On the spread of Cydalima perspectalis (Walker, 1859) (Lepidoptera: Pyraustidae) in Eastern Europe

SUMMARY. New data on the distribution of Cydalima perspectalis (Walker 1859) in Eastern Europe in the 2020s are presented. The species is first reported in the literature for the Kursk, Tula and Moscow provinces of Russia, Sumy province of Ukraine, Grodno and Mogilev provinces of Belarus, as well as for Latvia and Finland. It is assumed that due to the reduction or absence of imports of boxwood seedlings from the regions of their natural range, the modern range expansion of C. perspectalis to the east occurs mainly naturally and correlates to the January isotherms. Since the early 2020s, the species has been overwintering and establishing in regions within a January isotherm of -6˚C and in some places in regions within the January isotherm of –8˚C and minimum winter temperatures of –23˚C and monthly average temperatures of –6˚C. Singles foci and finds of unknown origin are known near the January –10˚C isotherm. It is shown that Primorsky Krai and neighboring provinces of Northeastern China are not included in the original natural range of C. perspectalis, which can be traced from Japan and South Korea through the provinces of Shandong, Henan, Sichuan and Yunnan; The northernmost region where the species is able to overwinter in nature is probably Beijing District; there is no evidence in scientific circulation of the presence of adventitious populations of the species in the Primorsky Krai.
