S.K. Korb A new subspecies of Melitaea ornata Christoph, 1893 from West Tian-Shan (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae) SUMMARY. Melitaea ornata karabuurana, ssp. n. is described. Type locality: “Kyrgyzstan, Talaskii Mt. Range, Kara-Buura River basin, Taity Rivulet, 1700 m, N42°23'12" E71°37'20"”. It differs from the nominotypical subspecies by its darker coloration and a more yellowish tone of the ventral wing surface (including elements of the wing pattern). It differs from the subspecies M. ornata adversaria Korb, Stradomsky et Kuznetsov, 2015 by a significantly lighter coloration (in adversaria the dorsal wing surface is brick-red, whereas in the new subspecies it is orange-rufous); the ventral surface of M. ornata adversaria has a reddish tint, while in the new subspecies it shows an orange tint. urn:lsid:zoobank.org:pub:09CAAA65-9DF1-4AA5-8C40-D1DB00EBC460 |

V.O. Kozminykh The Catalogue of beetles (Coleoptera) of the Urals and adjacent territories (to the 200th anniversary of scientific research in the Urals Region). II. Ground beetles (Carabidae), 7th communication SUMMARY. The seventh communication of part II of the Catalogue of beetles (Coleoptera) of the Urals contains the final part of the annotated list of ground beetles (Carabidae) of the Urals Region with the adjacent territories of the Middle Trans-Volga Region, the Vyatka-Kama Interfluve, Western Siberia and Western Kazakhstan. Reference information is provided on the regional composition of the subfamily Harpalinae (the 4th part), including 61 species of Amara Bonelli, 1810 and 2 species of Zabrus Clairville, 1806 (tribe Zabrini), as well as by 1 species each from the genera Polistichus Bonelli, 1810 and Zuphium Latreille, 1805 (tribe Zuphiini). For both the Polar and Subpolar Urals (Komi Republic) 37 species of ground beetles of the genus Amara are recorded. For the Northern Urals (Komi Republic, northeastern Perm Area, and northwestern Sverdlovsk Province) 36 species are lsted. For the Middle Urals 43 species of Amara beetles are numbered, including 39 species for Perm Area and 40 species for Sverdlovsk Province. For the Southern Urals 53 species of ground beetles from 4 genera are recorded, of these 36 species are listed for Bashkortostan, 39 species for Chelyabinsk Province, and 45 species for Orenburg Province. Data for the entire fauna of the Urals are summarized, these are 572 species from 96 genera and 12 subfamilies of Carabidae. L.V. Egorov, A.B. Ruchin New records of Сynaeus angustus (J.L. LeConte, 1851) (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae) in the European part of Russia SUMMARY. New records of Cynaeus angustus (J.L. LeConte, 1851) (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae), a species alien to Russia, are described in the European part of Russia (Voronezh and Orenburg Provinces, the Republic of Mordovia). This species is listed for all mentioned Russian regions for the first time, including natural protected areas: Khopersky State Nature Reserve, Smolny National Park. From these, 55 species (2 species of Micropterigidae, 1 species of Hepialidae, 4 species of Nepticulidae, 1 species of Opostegidae, 6 species of Adelidae, 3 species of Psychidae, 15 species of Tineidae, 3 species of Bucculatricidae, 1 species of Roeslerstammiidae, 16 species of Gracillariidae, 1 species of Douglasiidae) are listed for the first time for the republic, including Caloptilia semifascia (Haworth, 1828) is recorded for the first time from the Middle Volga region, Nemapogon koenigi Căpuşe, 1967 is recorded for the first time from the Volga basin and Spulerina simploniella (Fischer von Roeslerstamm, 1839) is recorded for the first time from the Volga basin and confirmed for Russia.
